Film North fund raiser the BULL'S EYE BASH
Saturday night's first Film North fund raiser the BULL'S EYE BASH was as sold out event held at Don Tapscott and Ana Lopes' cottage, The Lodge, in Dorset. Attended by over 120 Lake of Bays, Muskokan residents and film and music industry notables. The evening was co hosted by the Trading Bay Grouse and Trout Club, benefactors formerly of the S.S. BIGWIN restoration and this year focused on Film North fund raising. Notable guests were, Julian Pinder, Director of the Feature Documentary 'LAND' which was screened at Film North's Under The Stars, after dark in River Mill park this summer. Also musicians Marc Jordan and Amy Sky, the band Men In Suits featuring Niki Tapscott and Joie Watts on vocals.
The event raised $60,000.00 to fund Film North's Inaugural year this Sept 23-25th at the Algonquin Theatre in Huntsville.
Three days of 32 films, starting from 10:30 am to 9:00 pm. www.filmnorth.net for program to be released Sept 7th.
