Penny's Blog: Filmmakers and movie fans converge on Huntsville

Lights, cottage country, action! Guest post by Blair Eveleigh, senior associate editor.
The second edition of Film North, Huntsville International Film Festival, starts today, with 36 feature and short films of all genres from Canada and around the world (Israel, Japan, India, France, the US, etc.). Tonight at 8:30, the documentary West Wind: A Vision of Tom Thomson by directors Michele Hozer and Peter Raymont is being screened at the Algonquin Theatre (where all the films are being shown), followed by Burden of Dreams, a documentary by director Les Blank. The filmmakers will be there for a Q&A afterwards.
