Film North Announces Much Anticipated Line-Up for Third Season Huntsville, Ontario – Thursday, August 23rd, 2012 – Film North, Huntsville International Film Festival, announced today that its much anticipated program has been finalized. Forty-two films, including shorts, documentaries, and features of all genres have been carefully selected from a submission list of over 100 films. These films will be screened over three days - beginning the evening of Thursday, September 20th through Saturday, September 22nd, 2012 - at the Algonquin Theatre in Huntsville, Ontario. Lucy Wing, CEO and Founder of Film North said, "Film North is unique in that it maintains a real and intimate interaction between audience and artist. Movie buffs have the rare opportunity to speak with filmmakers during post screening question and answer sessions, as well as during festival events, which everyone is invited to attend". FILM NORTH'S ANNUAL BULL'S EYE BASH HITS THE MARK!
This past Saturday, esteemed guests of the business and arts communities came in by land, sea and air, to join the revelry that is becoming legend as the BEST PARTY OF THE SUMMER social season. Film North's annual fund-raiser bash drew over 150 people to host Dee Dee and Mark Weiland's beautiful Lake of Bays cottage. My Chef In Muskoka enchanted guests with a gourmet private dining experience, Stoney Ridge Estate Winery favored us with custom label red and white wine selections, and TAG VODKA concocted extraordinary Film North cocktails by the names Mad Moose Martini, Bash Smash and Classic Canoe. Marc Jordan and Amy Sky, who captivated the audience with their solo cameo performances. The virtuoso Film North team pulled together over 40 different live and silent auction items from our generous supporters and Kevin Newman acted as our celebrity auctioneer helping us raise over $70,000.00 towards our third annual film festival.
