Film North returns to Hunsville Stage

HUNTSVILLE – Forty-three films will be screened at Film North, Huntsville International Film Festival in a mere three days, starting Sept. 20.
"It's a daunting task," said Lucy Molnar Wing, founder and president of the festival.

Water plays protagonist in festival film

HUNTSVILLE – The filmmakers of Algonquin wanted viewers to feel like they were part of Algonquin Park’s iconic waterways.
Producer Joel Irwin said the film, being premiered at the Huntsville-based international film festival Film North this weekend, not only expresses the power, beauty and importance of the park's water. It also presents it from a unique perspective.

HUNTSVILLE – Director Craig Goodwill says he didn’t want to see a canoe or a loon anywhere near his short film about iconic painter Tom Thomson.
Goodwill said his eight-minute film Artist: Unknown, set to be screened during the Huntsville-based international film festival Film North, pushes aside the idea of Thomson as an unblemished Canadian hero and asks poignant questions about him as a man.
