Film North Co-Sponsors Courageous Campers: An exclusive evening in support of the General Romeo Dallaire Foundation Film North Co-Presents Courageous Campers: An exclusive evening in support of the General Roméo Dallaire Foundation AN EVENING IN SUPPORT OF THE GENERAL ROMÉO DALLAIRE FOUNDATION, NOVEMBER 22, 2012 Courageous Campers is a fundraising event for the General Roméo Dallaire Foundation which sends immigrant, refugee, and underprivileged children to summer camp. Film North is proud to Co-Present, with Courageous Campers, the screening of 'Shake Hands with the Devil: The Journey of Roméo Dallaire' directed by Peter Raymont, about Canadian Lt. Gen. Roméo Dallaire, and his controversial command of the United Nations mission to Rwanda during the 1994 genocide. The film was an official selection at TIFF, won the Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival in 2005, and won the Emmy Award for Best Documenatry in 2006.
