Film North in Huntsville has Community Ties
What't Up Muskoka - Chris Occhiuzzi
The third annual Film North Huntsville International Film Festival is upcoming and a Huntsville man is featured in one of the films set to illuminate the Algonquin Theatre.
Caleb Verzyden, who is from Baysville but grew up going to both primary and high school in Huntsville, starts in Waiting For Summer. The 89 minute drama directed by Senthil Vinu features co-stars Verzyden and Virginia Leigh as Zach and Chantal, two people whose lives intertwine while living in Toronto and seeking out new beginnings.
"It's a character struggling with his own problems in life," says Verzyden of his role. "He comes from a family where he doesn't know much about his dad and his mom ended up being a bit of drunk. So, he ends up going off wanting to explore a new life and basically to explore the world."
